Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy parts from the online shop at openoceanwater.com. The shop is run by Open Ocean Group Ltd, 8 Haszard Street, Waihi, New Zealand. By placing an order, you agree to them. Our returns, refunds and warranty page and privacy statement are part of these terms.

Prices and payment

• Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Orders shipped outside New Zealand don't pay GST: the cart takes it off when you choose where it's going.
• Shipping is added at checkout, based on the destination and the weight of the order.
• You pay by card on Stripe's secure checkout page. We never see your full card number.
• Prices can change. The price in your cart when you pay is the price you pay.

Your order

After you pay, you'll get an email receipt. If we can't supply something you've ordered, for example because it's out of stock or the price on the website was clearly a mistake, we'll contact you. You can then wait, change your order, or have a full refund.

If you're not sure a part suits your system, contact us before you order.

Complete systems and quoted orders

Complete watermaker systems and other quoted orders aren't sold through the online shop. Their price, delivery and payment are set out in our quote.

Delivery

• We dispatch from Waihi, New Zealand. We'll send your order as soon as we can, and let you know if there's a delay.
• Your order is our responsibility until it's delivered to you. If it arrives damaged, see returns, refunds and warranty.
• Courier delivery times are estimates. We can't control delays in transit or at customs.
• The storage chemical ships within New Zealand only.

Orders shipped outside New Zealand

You're the importer. Customs duties, import taxes (such as GST or VAT in your country) and clearance fees are yours to pay. They aren't included in our prices or the shipping charge. Please check that the parts can be imported where you are.

If these charges aren't paid and the parcel comes back to us, we'll refund the price of the items, less the cost of shipping it both ways.

Your rights and our liability

If you're buying as a consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act and the Fair Trading Act. Nothing in these terms takes those away.

If you're buying for a business, the Consumer Guarantees Act doesn't apply.

As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost time or earnings, and our total liability for an order is limited to the price you paid for it.

Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts deal with any dispute.

Changes

We may update these terms. The terms on the website when you place your order are the ones that apply to it.
